Only 40 hours logged total but how does this even compare to something as sprawling as Starfield?

It rewards patience in a way few games from that generation did, especially with how the combat ties into positioning and timing rather than just stats. The story stays cryptic on purpose and I think that's part of why it still gets discussed.

Yo igual, cripticidad total.

The combat system gets praised constantly but the actual friction comes from the weapon crafting grind, which stalls the pacing for anyone not obsessive about menus. Once you strip away the reputation it's a much smaller game than people claim.

The atmosphere in that fortress is unlike anything else from that era, dense and quiet in a way that stuck with me for years. That said the menus for weapon forging nearly made me put the controller down more than once.

Exagerado.

I borrowed this from a friend's older brother and had no idea what I was doing with the affinity system for the first few hours. Ended up staying at their place way past when I was supposed to leave just to see the next area.
