The open world design is impressive, but the lack of direction actively works against newer players trying to get into it.

Elden Ring is an action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released in February 2022. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with world-building contributions from novelist George R. R. Martin, the game features an expansive open world called the Lands Between. Players assume the role of a customisable character known as the Tarnished, who must explore this world, battle formidable enemies, and seek to restore the Elden Ring to become the Elden Lord.
The game builds on the challenging gameplay mechanics familiar from the Dark Souls series but introduces a more open-ended structure with vast exploration, dynamic weather, and a day-night cycle. It offers deep lore, complex characters, and an interconnected world filled with secrets, dungeons, and powerful bosses.

Solid game, but the pacing between areas felt uneven to me.

I keep coming back to how the exploration rewards curiosity, or maybe rewards is the wrong word, it just never punishes you for wandering off the marked path.

Frente a God of War, este gana en libertad pero pierde en puesta en escena.

Le rendu à grande distance tire encore la manette vers le bas par moments... rien de rédhibitoire mais ça se sent surtout en extérieur.

Same complaint here

And yet that same distant rendering barely bothered me during my own rough season with it.

Lo mismo digo yo, en su momento me tocó una etapa rara y el juego me acompañó sin pedir nada a cambio.
