About Mass Effect
Mass Effect is an action role-playing game set in the year 2183. The player takes the role of Commander Shepard, a customizable character who serves as Executive Officer aboard the SSV Normandy. After a routine mission goes wrong, Shepard assembles a squad and pursues a threat that escalates into a galaxy-wide conflict. The game features real-time squad-based combat where players choose companions and tactics suited to different enemy types, from biotic-wielding opponents to heavily armored machines.
The game spans a large science fiction universe, with explorable locations ranging from the Citadel space station to alien homeworlds and remote outposts. Player decisions affect mission outcomes, crew relationships, and the overarching narrative across the trilogy.

(never touched multiplayer since there wasn't one back then) but next to Red Dead the pacing feels so much slower, in a good way honestly.

I'm biased, I've replayed this thing like 6 times, but combat aside the choices still hit hard for me

Je le trouve toujours cité comme référence alors que le gunplay était déjà daté à sa sortie, les couvertures qui ne marchent qu'à moitié, l'inventaire imposé au début qui casse le rythme des premières heures, ça n'a pas si bien vieilli que le classement le laisse penser.

El combate cuesta reconocerlo, se nota tosco todavía hoy, pero la sensación de construir a Shepard como quisieras compensaba casi todo eso para mí, y sigo pensando en esas conversaciones años después.
