About BioShock

BioShock is a horror-themed first-person shooter set in a steampunk underwater dystopia. The player is urged to turn everything into a weapon: biologically modifying their own body with Plasmids, hacking devices and systems, upgrading their weapons, crafting new ammo variants, and experimenting with different battle techniques are all possible. The game is described by the developers as a spiritual successor to their previous PC title System Shock 2. BioShock received high praise in critical reviews for its atmospheric audio and visual quality, absorbing and original plot and its unique gaming experience.

    I keep going back and forth on this one, because the setting alone should carry it forever in my mind, but then I load it up again and some of the combat encounters just drag, especially past the midpoint, and yet somehow the whole thing still stays with me longer than plenty of games that play smoother.

    Against Half-Life 2 it usually loses for me, but against Doom it feels like a different sport entirely.

    Tu trouves vraiment que ça ne tient que sur l'ambiance ? Moi j'ai relancé une partie récemment et l'exploration seule me suffit largement à justifier sa place.

    Played it on a rainy weekend years back and barely moved from the couch. Still remember the mood more than the missions.

    No entiendo por qué sigue tan alto, la verdad. Se apoya todo en la ambientacion y en la historia, pero como shooter puro es mediocre, y en el décimo puesto deberia haber algo mas completo.
