I picked it up during a really slow winter and just wandered for hours tracking machines, didn't rush the main story at all.

honestly it holds its ground against the mass effect games on exploration alone, though the writing never reaches for anything close to those companion scenes people still talk about.

anyone else clock 40 hours wandering?

My roommate had it running on the TV every weekend that year, I'd just watch her climb those metal necks...

eh no, the machines alone justify way more than people give it credit for

the weekends thing checks out for me too, except in my case it was my brother glued to it, and honestly watching someone else climb those things gets old after the third mountain or so.

eh, next to Mass Effect this one wins me over with the machines and the views, but the choices barely matter and that's the whole draw over there so it stings a bit.

    Replying to Ibáñez5

The weight in characters isn't everything though, the machines carry plenty on their own.

Solid game, sure, but this rank oversells the combat depth versus what else is out there.
