I keep coming back to this one, not because it's perfect, it's really not, but because the tone commits so hard to what it wants to be, and honestly that's rare, even compared to something like GTA V which plays it safer tonally.

funny you mention factions, next to Skyrim's guilds these feel like they actually have stakes attached
compared to Gears of War it just feels like a different universe entirely, one is all cover and grunting and the other is pure style points, and honestly I think that contrast is why people keep putting them against each other in duels, it never gets old for me.
