    I keep going back and forth between this and Witcher 3 in my head, and honestly they're not even trying to do the same thing, one wants you lost and the other wants you guided.

    Those old forum wars were something else, honestly, makes me wonder how many of the loudest voices back then ever set foot in Vvardenfell at all, did you ever call anyone out on it?

    a mí lo que me pasó fue al revés, lo instalé pensando en pasar una hora nomás para recordar y terminé anotando en un cuaderno de verdad los nombres de las facciones porque no confiaba en mi memoria, ridículo total

    Comparing it to Skyrim feels almost unfair honestly, like comparing a rough draft to the polished final version, except the draft has more soul somehow.

    The writing on the Dunmer factions still holds up better than most modern RPGs even try for, or at least that's my take on it.

    honestly the skill checks ruin every fight early on, you swing and it just whiffs and the game tells you thats fine actually. people call it depth but its mostly just old dice rolls hiding behind a first person camera. i dont think it earns its spot this high anymore

    The dialogue trees are clunky by any modern standard, but the sheer density of lore behind them is still kind of unmatched.

    Reading about the lore density makes sense, I remember pausing constantly just to reread journal entries because I'd lost track of who wanted me dead.

    Weird game to love, but I do, mostly for the atmosphere.

    I don't play it much these days but every time it comes up in a duel I end up voting for it anyway, mostly out of respect for how weird and specific it still is compared to everything that copied it afterward.
