I went back expecting the same magic from the first game, or rather, I expected it to feel like a natural continuation, and instead the whole vibe felt like a different studio trying too hard to be edgy.
I picked this up because everyone kept calling it a masterpiece, and I bounced off hard around the third demon. The atmosphere is great but the combat felt clunkier than people admit, like it's carried by mystique more than actual design.
