About Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 is an action role-playing game in which Commander Shepard leads a final campaign against the Reapers, a machine race that has invaded Earth and is conquering civilizations across the galaxy. Players recruit squad members from various species and classes, forge alliances, and make choices that determine which characters survive. Combat features squad-based tactics with combinable biotic and tech powers, blind fire, and enhanced melee attacks.

The game includes a cooperative multiplayer mode where up to four players fight waves of enemies to liberate conflict zones. Progress in multiplayer contributes to war preparedness in the single-player campaign. New and returning squad members join Shepard's team, including soldier James Vega and EDI, an AI in a physical body.

I played this during a long winter when I wasn't going out much, and it became the thing I looked forward to every evening. Some choices from the earlier games barely mattered here, which stung a little at the time, but the campaign itself kept me hooked until the end. I still think about certain squad conversations more than the actual final battle.

Y sin embargo mucha gente sigue recordando sobre todo las conversaciones de escuadrón, no el desenlace en sí.

pregunto en serio, esas conversaciones de escuadrón pesaron más que la batalla final para vos también?

I only put a few hours a week into it, but hearing that back and forth about names getting lost makes me want to try starting here too instead of from the first one.

I remember loading a save from years before and half my choices didn't carry the weight I expected (small thing, but it stuck with me). Still glad I saw it through.

That save-carrying thing bugged me too, does anyone know if a full playthrough avoids that issue?

Same, about 30 hours in and it still didn't matter.

I finished this the same month I moved apartments, boxes everywhere, and comparing it to Mass Effect 2 now feels unfair, the second game let subplots breathe in a way this one just couldn't afford to.

combat feels great honestly, best in the series for me, but some of the character stuff got rushed compared to the second one

The combat is genuinely the best in the trilogy, tighter cover, better squad commands, more weapon variety. Where it stumbles for me is how rushed some of the reunions with old squadmates feel, like the game knows you love them but doesn't have time to prove it again.

Squad commands being tighter than before really did change how missions felt for me.
