About Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. Two teams, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, compete in objective-based rounds across various game modes including bomb defusal, hostage rescue, and deathmatch. The game features an economy system where players purchase weapons and equipment at the start of each round based on performance in previous rounds. Competitive matchmaking, community servers, and a robust skin trading ecosystem support a large active player base.

Got into it during a rough winter a few years back and somehow the routine of it got me through more than I expected.

Frente a StarCraft el nivel táctico es distinto, pero la tensión de cada ronda aquí compensa esa falta de planificación a largo plazo que critican tanto

L'hiver, moi c'était plutôt les sessions du dimanche soir.

Anyone else feel the skill ceiling is amazing but new players get crushed instantly?

    sporer_elva

Honestly at this point the skill ceiling debate just repeats itself every few months

The tick rate debates alone should tell you something, and the hitreg still feels inconsistent in casual matchmaking compared to what competitive titles offer now.

Sorry but this ranking is inflated by pure playtime and community loyalty, not by how the game actually holds up against modern shooters. The core gunplay is solid, sure, but the netcode issues and the toxic voice chat experience should count for something when we're talking about where it sits overall. People vote with nostalgia and habit, not with a fresh perspective.

Same feeling here, GTA V just gives you more to actually do when your not grinding ranked

Netcode issues aside... I still remember losing my rank pushing solo at 3am, that part never gets old

Something like 400 hours logged and I still remember my first proper clutch round like it was yesterday!!
