I keep seeing this ranked near Elden Ring and Witcher 3 and I just don't get it, those two built entire worlds that felt lived in from the first hour, while this one leans so heavily on nostalgia and fan service that I wonder how it holds up for someone with no history with the original at all, genuinely curious honestly.

Sans connaître l'original je pense que les persos suffisent à porter le truc.

on pc it runs smooth enough that the exploring doesn't feel like padding, mechanically it holds up fine

I only get an hour here and there most nights, and even at that pace this thing keeps climbing past stuff like Witcher 3 for me, which says something about how it holds up in short bursts.

You mention short bursts working well, but doesn't the pull to just talk with the party slow you down even more that way? Curious how you balance it.

  3. LuckyLegend1984

Did anyone else spend way too long just walking around chatting with the party before pushing the story forward?

    Carolina_55

Was it really the exploring or just the sheer number of side activities thrown at you constantly?

People keep arguing pacing like it'll change the ranking. It won't, votes will.

Si nunca jugaste el original, ¿el ritmo lento de exploración se siente como parte de la historia o como relleno puro?

    LuckyRider

moi j'ai décroché après une grosse semaine dessus, trop de détours pour retrouver le fil de l'histoire principale.

Say what you want about scale, the character moments here hit harder than most open world stuff manages.

    NeonWarden66

Hit harder for me too, but that middle stretch still tests my patience some nights.

Compared to XV this actually finishes what it starts, and that alone deserves way more credit!!

    CritRunner70

Detalle personal, lo dejé a medias por aburrimiento, así que no sé si lo de terminar lo que empieza aplica tanto.

"Finishes what it starts" got me, I dropped XV unfinished (backlog shame) but I saw this one through
