About Bastion

A hack-and-slash RPG featuring a reactive narrator, various unlockable weapons, weapon upgrades, practice mini-games and optional difficulty modifiers, set in an imaginary world in the aftermath of an uncertain apocalypse, in which the player embodies a teenager with a troubled past as he and the narrator work together to rebuild the world out of a persisting hub called the Bastion.

My daughter got hooked on the narrator's voice more than the combat itslef, which surprised me honestly.

The narration is genuinely one of the best things gaming has ever done, I still think about certain lines years later!!

Certain lines stuck with me too, but that alone doesn't justify this ranking.

Compared to Skyrim's endless sprawl, this one respects your time and still leaves a mark.
