The reactivity in dialogue is genuinely impressive, choices from early on echo much later than you'd expect. That said the itemization and inventory management feels like a chore for long stretches, which drags the pacing down.

The combat pacing drags in the middle chapters, especially in some of the bigger dungeon crawls, and that alone knocks it down for me. The writing and companion reactivity are still excellent though, so I get why people rank it this high.

Started it during a rainy week off work and somehow ended up naming half my party after coworkers.

    mbarre
