About Ōkami

Set sometime in classical Japanese history, Ōkami combines several Japanese mythology and folklore to tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess named Amaterasu, who took the form of a white wolf with celestial markings covering its fur. It features a distinct sumi-e-inspired cel-shaded visual style and the Celestial Brush, a gesture-system used to perform miracles.

    Overrated for its visuals alone. The pacing drags hard past the midpoint and nobody wants to admit it.

    Played it slow on purpose, midpoint and all. Never felt like dragging to me.

    The art style still holds up completely, no question there, but I think people undersell how SLOW some sections feel once the novelty wears off. It's a beautiful game that occasionally forgets to move forward.

    Il tourne autour de la 198e place depuis un moment, mais est-ce que le classement reflète vraiment ce qu'il a apporté au genre à sa sortie... j'ai l'impression qu'on le juge surtout sur son rythme et jamais sur le reste
