Does anyone else think the ranking rewards how easy it is to pick up rather than how deep it actually goes, or is that just how loot games work in general…

Does anyone else think the ranking rewards how easy it is to pick up rather than how deep it actually goes, or is that just how loot games work in general, genuinely curious?

Is it fair to judge a loot grinder against games built around story and combat depth? I loved my time with it, but I keep wondering if the comparison itself is the problem here.

Good loot, weak story. Fine for a while, wears thin past the halfway mark.

I feel like it gets ranked on charm more than substance, though maybe I just never sank enough hours into the build variety to see it.

Solid loot game, but solid isn't enough at this level, solid gets you exactly here.
Homenick28
If solid gets you exactly here, what would it take to move up, more depth in the loot itself or just better opponents in the bracket?
