The remaster looks sharp but the core pacing hasn't aged as gracefully as people claim, especially in the mid section where the game slows down without much payoff.

Compare it to Metal Gear Solid and you get two completely different ways of building tension, does anyone else think this game actually does quieter dread better?

    PixelKid

It holds up better than Dead Space in terms of atmosphere, though Dead Space still wins on pure tension for me, it's close but I give this one the edge on characters.
