About New Super Mario Bros.

New Super Mario Bros. is a side-scrolling 2.5D action-adventure platformer game for the Nintendo DS, starring Mario and Luigi. The game features a solo story mode with Mario or Luigi, a two-player wireless game Mario Vs. Luigi, as well as a minigame mode for up to four players. The gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. is very much like that of the classic 2D platformers, mostly Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3, and substantially builds upon them to create gameplay both classic and contemporary. As the game is on DS, the touch screen allows players to store an additional power-up and view the distance still to go in a level.

ELO progression

Score moved from 1,500 to 1,752 ELO points over the last 170 days.

The level design still puts a smile on my face every single time, no contest here!

The level design holds up, sure, but half these threads just circle back to the same three rivals anyway.

    TurboByte

surcoté clairement, le classement lui fait trop de cadeaux

Oh look, another thread proving this belongs somewhere between Portal and Crash. Groundbreaking stuff, truly.

On avait cette DS ouverte à deux, jamais vraiment lassés, alors ce classement me laisse perplexe.

Same debates, same votes, same result every time we do this.

I get the fatigue with these debates, but I'd still take this over Crash any day when I want something clean.

It plays it safe from start to finish, and that's fine, but calling it a classic feels like a stretch to me.

We keep having the exact same argument about where this belongs and nobody ever budges an inch.
