What gets me is how much they reused from the first game, down to the same enemies and the same feel... and yet the new level ideas somehow don't feel recycled at all. It's an odd combination that shouldn't work as well as it does.

It's not really a game in the traditional sense, more like a toolbox that happens to have a game engine attached, and I think that's exactly why it splits opinion.
