Picked it up the same month I was grinding through old Smash matches with friends, ended up sticking with this one longer.

The evolution of fighting games starts with our traditional Fighting Ground, and then we're turning the genre on its head with World Tour and Battle Hub for a total of three modes where anyone can play to their liking.
No one starts off as a champion. You get there step by step, punch by punch.
Take up the challenge and bring your game to the next level.

Ran through Fighting Ground again last week and the fundamentals still feel sharp, inputs land exactly when they should. World Tour is where it splits for me though, fun to dip into but it drags once the novelty wears off, and Battle Hub mostly sits empty when I check it.

Smash thrives on that mess between friends, SF6 doesn't even try to compete there, different goals entirely.

I don't get the rank, honestly, maybe I just haven't clicked with it yet.

Wait, comparing World Tour to Budokai's transformation spectacle is actually a great point, never thought about it that way!!
