The time travel thing does shift a lot of the sidequests and endings, honestly... but did you push past the early hours?

What holds up best is the encounter design, honestly. Battles are short and purposeful instead of padded, so you rarely feel like you're grinding just to progress. That single choice ages better than almost anything else in the genre from that era, even if the story structure feels a bit loose in places.

Compared to something like Persona 5, the storytelling feels almost too light, like it never commits to any of its ideas long enough to matter. It's a pleasant ride but the depth people credit it with just isn't really there when you put it next to modern JRPGs.

Léger, léger, tu parles surtout de la fin j'ai l'impression, le début installe des trucs qu'il tient très bien ensuite

I'll admit the combat system is clever, or maybe just ahead of its time, but the pacing in the back half drags and the difficulty barely exists once you get a good party going. It's charming, sure, but I don't think it holds up as an actual challenge compared to what people claim online.

La difficulté, justement... moi je me souviens l'avoir trouvée juste comme il faut, jamais frustrante

fair, or maybe not fair, but Persona 5 just does more with its pacing overall

Sur la difficulté je suis d'accord une fois la bonne équipe montée, mais c'est justement là que le jeu récompense l'expérimentation plutôt que la puissance brute

It's a solid game with real ideas, though I wouldn't call it flawless by any measure.

J'ai l'impression qu'on lui pardonne des défauts qu'on reprocherait à n'importe quel jeu récent
