I don't play it much these days but every session still feels like it earns its spot on this list.

Face à Far Cry, tu dirais qu'il tient encore la comparaison ?

I remember borrowing a copy from a friend one summer and having no idea what I was doing on the harder difficulty. Took me weeks to get past a level that everyone else seemed to breeze through. Looking back it taught me more patience than most games I've played since.

Far Cry 3 hands you the whole map and a map marker for your patience. This one just hands you the level and expects you to earn it.

Would anyone actually pick this over Far Cry 3 blind, no nostalgia involved?

It sits at 90th with a strong win rate, which tells me the voters who show up for it still believe in it, even if the overall pool clearly favors more modern shooters in these matchups.

Strong win rate, sure, but win rate against a shrinking pool of challengers isn't quite the same thing, is it.

Next to what Far Cry throws at you now, it feels almost quaint, but that quaintness is exactly what I miss.

Same feeling here, minus the friends part.

Same here, every time Far Cry throws its whole toolbox at me I miss having just one room and one gun to figure out.
