I don't play it much these days but every session still feels like it earns its spot on this list.

I remember borrowing a copy from a friend one summer and having no idea what I was doing on the harder difficulty. Took me weeks to get past a level that everyone else seemed to breeze through. Looking back it taught me more patience than most games I've played since.

Far Cry 3 hands you the whole map and a map marker for your patience. This one just hands you the level and expects you to earn it.

Next to what Far Cry throws at you now, it feels almost quaint, but that quaintness is exactly what I miss.

Je l'ai relancé il y a peu et honnêtement la visée manuelle sans stick droit se sent immédiatement, ça a pris un sacré coup de vieux face à ce que proposent Half-Life 2 ou Far Cry aujourd'hui. L'ambiance des missions reste correcte mais le confort de jeu n'a clairement pas suivi.

Lo del stick lo entiendo, se nota mucho, pero la sensación de las misiones para mí compensa esa parte.

Nos juntábamos los cuatro en casa de mi prima, cada uno esperando su turno cuando perdía la partida, y ese ritual duraba tardes enteras sin que nadie se aburriera de mirar a los demás jugar.

Cada vez que veo comentarios diciendo que ya no aporta nada me hierve la sangre, porque claramente esas personas ni siquiera se juntaron a jugarlo con amigos en su momento, solo repiten lo que leen por ahí.

Comparado con lo que vino después en el género, para mí sigue siendo el que más recuerdo con cariño de las tardes con amigos.
