About Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight is a sweeping classic action adventure game with awesome gameplay, memorable characters, and an 8-bit retro aesthetic. It's a hot mashup of new and old! You play as the eponymous Shovel Knight, a small knight with a huge quest. Shovel Knight has come to this land with two goals: to defeat the evil Enchantress and quest for his lost beloved. He wields a Shovel Blade: a multipurpose weapon whose techniques have now been lost to the ages. Always honest and helpful, Shovel Knight is a shining example of the code of Shovelry: Slash Mercilessly and Dig Tirelessly!

But, between Shovel Knight and his beloved stands a cadre of villainous knights. These terrible foes, known as The Order of No Quarter, have been dispatched to prevent Shovel Knight from reaching the Enchantress, and will pursue their mission at any cost.     J'ai fini la campagne en un week-end avec ma sœur qui commentait chaque saut, et la portée réduite ne m'a jamais gêné.

    Comparer la portée à Hollow Knight n'a aucun sens, ce sont deux ambitions totalement différentes, l'un vise le classicisme court et précis, l'autre l'exploration tentaculaire, ça n'aide personne de mélanger les deux.

    I think this game earns its spot through sheer consistency more than anything flashy. Every level feels considered, nothing wasted, and the boss fights still hold up surprisingly well when you go back to them years later. It doesn't need to reinvent anything to justify being ranked this high.

    I keep coming back to how tight the controls feel, even years later that part hasn't aged a bit.

    Ce jeu mérite clairement sa place dans le classement, la maniabilité seule justifie qu'on le garde haut, et je ne suis même pas du genre à défendre les jeux rétro par principe. Le level design tient encore la route face à des sorties bien plus récentes. Qui a fait mieux dans le genre ces dernières années ?

    Comparado con Psychonauts se sent plus simple en surface, pero la ejecución en el gameplay es más precisa.
