Now I am a fugitive, hunted by hostile armies and plagued by a curse that is gradually possessing my soul. A darker Prince resides in me now. And I must embrace his powers and skill if I want to restore peace to my land, my people, and my soul.

combat system and platforming both work, neither one ever quite becomes the reason you remember the game

    Replying to SilentHunter2

Showed it to my kid recently, the combos landed fine, the platforming sections lost him fast

    SilentHunter2

Against Limbo the comparison barely makes sense since the whole appeal here is momentum and combos, Limbo is built on stillness and dread, both hold up fine on their own terms

My roommate and I passed the controller every time we hit a rough fight. Took us way longer than it should have.

Y si el problema no es el juego sino con quién lo comparan siempre? Portal 2 no compite en el mismo terreno para nada, y aun así lo usan como vara para medir todo

Finished it twice back to back on release week.

Yo tb lo jugué esos días, en casa de mi prima, buenísimos recuerdos.

What holds up best is the momentum between platforming and combat, you rarely stop moving for long, and that pacing choice is what makes the whole thing feel tighter than most games in the genre from that era.

Agreed on the pacing, though the combat itself feels a bit simple once you've seen the same combos work on everything.

I only play an hour or so a week these days, and this is one of the few older games where that's still enough to enjoy a session, so I get why it holds its rank, does anyone else play in short bursts like that?
