It gets praised a lot, but I think the difficulty curve is uneven in a way people ignore.

I noticed the same uneven stretch myself, though it never made me question the difficulty overall, just certain rooms.

People vote for this in every single duel without thinking twice, it's exhausting watching the same title win by default against games that actually took risks with scope and ambition, the community just rewards familiarity at this point and calls it quality.

Why does this keep showing up so high against games with way more scope? Is it just because everyone finished it recently and it's fresh in people's minds, or is there something I'm missing about why a tight little platformer beats out bigger productions constantly.
