Everyone praises the atmosphere but nobody mentions how repetitive some of those puzzle sections get after the third temple.

  2. ArcadeBard

Compared to something like God of War, the combat here is thin, but the game isn't trying to win that fight, it's trying something else entirely.

  4. GhostSamurai

Sure, ranked below Arkham Asylum, because combos matter more than psychosis apparently

    SilentMaster

Fair point, but the vote counts still show it holding its own agaisnt games built for spectacle first.

People act like six hors of headphone paranoia is a joke but it genuinely messed with my head for days afterward, not something I laugh about now.

    CritRunner70

    ArcadeWarden2

Played it right after a rough breakup and the whole descent felt uncomfortably close to home for a while.

People keep ranking this below character action games with combo counters when the whole point was never combat depth in the first place.

Fair on the puzzles imo, but combat mechanics tied to her state of mind are subtle, not absent.

Subtle, sure, though subtle combat mechanics still lose to loud ones in most people's memory of a fight scene.

Oh sure, let's talk about the game that convinced my roommate I was having a breakdown because I kept talking back to my headphones for six hours straight.

    SilentRunner

Roommate story aside, ranked this low against those two is just people voting for scale over substance, and it's getting old.

    Pixel_Espinosa

    Exacto, y valió la pena.

People act like the combat is an afterthought but I actually think it's tuned pretty well for what it's asking of you, or maybe I just adapted to it faster than most, either way I never felt cheated by a fight.

I went in expecting a slow arty walk and got genuinely tense combat encounters too, this game does more than people give it credit for!

    NeonRunner58

It's short, or rather compact, and that works in its favor most of the time.

I get that the audio design impressed everyone, but strip that away and you've got a pretty simple combat loop stretched over the whole runtime, and the puzzles don't really evolve either, they just repeat the same idea in a new coat of paint honestly.

Same here, third temple onward I started dreading the puzzle rooms.

  11. CoopKnight4

I played it alone at night with headphones and it completely changed how I felt about it.

    Madyson_88

Same feeling here, alone, headphones on, and the comparison to bigger games just stopped mattering...

    Éric_25
