    CoopRider

Two afternoons matches my run too, but I'd take that over the forty hours Assassin's Creed II pads with filler.

    Kris94

Two sittings versus Portal 2's puzzle chains says a lot about how thin the actual content is here.

    IronDragon41

Alone at night works for Portal because the puzzles demand focus. Here it's mostly just walking, so the comparison doesn't really hold up for me.

  3. SilviaAce

    BossRex

Solved it that fast, or maybe it just felt that fast (same thing happened to me with Portal honestly)?

    QuestPhoenix

The city felt alive, alive in a way walking forward never fully explains on its own.

  4. Aaron_85

    LuckyByte

The loop's simple, sure, or maybe simple isn't fair, it's just quiet, and quiet doesn't usually win these duels.

    NovaAce2

The transitions bit is such a good point, that quiet before the next area is honestly where the game earns its keep, even if the puzzles stay basic!

  5. juanita56

It nails the mood completely, though the story wraps up faster than I wanted.

    CoopKnight4

Funny how nobody mentions Portal's pacing when this comes up, both live or die on tone over length.

    Isabel_19

The story wraps up fast because there wasn't much story to wrap up in the first place, right?

  6. ElainaPilot

Assassin's Creed II throws sidequests and cities at you for forty hours. This one hands you a smaller world and trusts you to enjoy it slowly, and somehow that works better for me.

  9. VinylMaster

Compared to Uncharted 2, this trades spectacle for stillness, and honestly that's a trade I'll take most days of the week.

  10. suzanne16

It's short and the puzzles are simple, but wandering around as a cat in that city stuck with me longer than most longer games do.

    Gonzalez2008

    CritWolf12

If the puzzles are basically absent, what exactly justifies ranking it above heavier adventure games?

    TurboSamurai2007

Fair, though I'd say coasting is the point here, not a flaw like it would be elsewhere.

    GlitchSniper98

  11. Rowena_2009

It's a gorgeous walk in a nice world, ngl, but calling it a top tier adventure game feels like a stretch to me tbh.

    Donato_1990

The atmosphere carries it, sure, but Portal's puzzle logic is on another LEVEL entirely, no contest there.

  12. Geraldine_2001

People compare it to Portal a lot because of the atmosphere, but Portal actually challenges you constantly while this one lets you coast through most rooms.

    descamps_frederique

  13. Audrey_55

I only played it in short bursts over a couple weeks, never marathon sessions, and it still stuck with me more than most longer games I've finished this year.

    LootRex2

  15. EmileWarden

Beautiful sure, but the puzzle design is thin compared to what it's usually stacked against in these duels.

    Coop_Ferrer
