moving is stressful enough without a controller fighting you, and yet I remember packing tape in one hand and still choosing to finish the last stretch that night
LuckyNinja
CritWolf55
Portal wins on precision, this wins on how much you end up caring about something that can't talk back, different games entirely
Makenna_60
my daughter watched the whole thing over my shoulder that winter, didn't say much, just kept asking if the creature was okay, that's the kind of number no ELO score is gonna capture

LootNinja25
packing during a move sounds rough enough without a camera fighting you too, I had the same fists-clenched moments except mine were during exam week, still finished it anyway

CritRex56
honestly i know this game frustrates people and i don't care, the bond it builds is worth every clunky camera angle
RogueNinja62

Uncharted never once made me feel guilty for lagging behind, this one did constantly.

does Uncharted even try for that kind of guilt though? feels like a different goal entirely

same pull here, except mine was a rainy week off work, didn't expect to care that much about getting an animal to trust me again
SammieDragon
moving boxes around me while I played the last hour, didn't even care, just needed the creature safe
BossDragon2
The animal AI fought me more than the ruins did... I get what they were going for but it broke immersion for me constantly.
Irma_76
I picked it up during a slow winter, mostly to see what the fuss was about, and ended up staying up way too late just to see the creature safe.
Samuel_75
no lloré, me destrozó, y no exagero nada
VinylRex
wait, staying up for a creature's safety over a random weekend rental? that's a big ask for a controller you're fighting the whole time
GlitchPilot
FrameRex2
I'll admit the camera nearly ended our friendship more than once, but somehow I still recommend it to anyone who'll listen, my track record with taste is questionable at best.
Rae_1990
I rented it on a whim one weekend, expected the usual adventure loop, and mostly remember fighting the controls more than the ruins.
Destinee_94
Same weekend feeling for me, curled up on the couch after a rough month, controls fighting back didn't ruin it, they just made the creature feel more real somehow.
QuestDragon93
En respuesta a Destinee_94
the controls fighting back is real, the part where you still worry about the creature anyway is also real
CritWolf
GlitchBard3
It earns its place through patience alone, not everything needs to move fast to matter.
NeonDragon
okay so this one's weird for me because I went in expecting a puzzle game and came out remembering mostly the creature, like the puzzles kind of faded but the feeling stuck around way longer than I expected
IronHunter82
So the puzzles faded but the feeling stayed, doesn't that just mean the game itself was forgettable underneath the emotion?
