The hero pool is impressive but the new player experience hasn't improved much over the years.

    CoopRider

The depth really comes from itemization, itemization alone separates good players from great ones here, ask anyone who's climbed.

  2. NeonWarden66

Spent an entire winter learning support role, my friends still clown me for how bad I was at warding.

  3. GhostWolf

Another day, another overrated MOBA sitting comfortably where it shouldn't be.

    Kihn76

Exact same experience, quit after one toxic lobby and haven't touched it since.

  4. BossDragon2

I only play a few games a month these days (work eats everything) but even casually you can feel how unforgiving it stays.

    Rudolph_2

Unforgiving is one thing, but at some point it's just punishing casual players for not having ten hours a week to spare.

  5. qstanton

Compared to League it feels heavier and slower to learn, but the mechanical ceiling is so much higher once you push through the first fifty hours or so.

    Bayer15

I only get an hour here and there most weeks, still remember that first proper win vividly.

    Max_1984

Fifty hours in and I still vote for it every single duel without hesitating, curve or no curve.

    NovaAce2

Every duel this thing wins just confirms it, the vote count doesn't lie and neither does the ELO climbing steadily.

    gdicki

Toxicity or not, it still wins way more duels than League usually does here.

    Navas46

    claire72

The toxicity is real, I got muted twice last month, but I keep queuing anyway because the games are just that good.

  7. GhostByte3

    lubowitz_brock

The support grind you're describing sounds exactly like my last few seasons too.

    Eloisa_40

    Warding trauma, same, same.

    Corwin18

Same grind here honestly, my duo and I still queue every weekend just to relive those early disasters together.

    Rae_1990

Same story here, uninstalled after getting flamed in my first ranked match, never looked back honestly.
