Something like 400 hours logged and I still remember my first proper clutch round like it was yesterday!!

balance is fine but the smurfing problem never really got fixed over the years

Got into it during a rough winter a few years back and somehow the routine of it got me through more than I expected.

Anyone else feel the skill ceiling is amazing but new players get crushed instantly?

    sporer_elva

Honestly at this point the skill ceiling debate just repeats itself every few months

The tick rate debates alone should tell you something, and the hitreg still feels inconsistent in casual matchmaking compared to what competitive titles offer now.

Sorry but this ranking is inflated by pure playtime and community loyalty, not by how the game actually holds up against modern shooters. The core gunplay is solid, sure, but the netcode issues and the toxic voice chat experience should count for something when we're talking about where it sits overall. People vote with nostalgia and habit, not with a fresh perspective.

Same feeling here, GTA V just gives you more to actually do when your not grinding ranked

Netcode issues aside... I still remember losing my rank pushing solo at 3am, that part never gets old

What keeps me coming back is the economy system, deciding whether to save or force buy every single round adds a layer of tension most shooters never even attempt, you're managing a budget as much as aiming a gun, and that pressure is why rounds still feel tense a decade later even when you know the map by heart

Same tension people praise here, GTA V just wraps it in more stuff to do.

Isn't that extra stuff in GTA V just padding though, or does it actually add tension of its own?

Spent an entire summer on this with my brother, we barely talked but we played every single night!!

    Corwin18

Brothers bonding over headshots instead of conversation, sounds about right honestly.

    Ghost_Archuleta

    AllieRider

ELO climbing this high mostly proves matchmaking volume, not depth compared to other picks here.

    Crit_Becker

Six hundred plus duels says this isn't some fluke ranking, people keep coming back to vote on it

    IronDragon41

friends stopped talking to me the same way, headphones on, rounds all night, nothing deep about it

  12. Coop_Ferrer
