    Face à Max Payne il gagne clairement en ambition et en monde ouvert, ça se sent dans chaque mission.

    San Andreas avait plus de folie, Vice City plus de style, et lui arrive entre les deux avec une histoire plus posée qui a fini par lui coûter des points dans les duels je trouve.

    Je l'avais installé un dimanche pluvieux avec mon frère, on devait se relayer toutes les vingt minutes et personne ne voulait lâcher la manette.

    Il a un ton plus adulte que les autres épisodes, ça je le reconnais volontiers, mais niveau plaisir manette en main je le trouve plus lourd et ça se sent encore aujourd'hui...

    Chez moi c'était pareil, sauf que mon frère gardait la manette bien plus que vingt minutes.

    Cada duelo termino votando lo mismo y ya ni se por qué me molesto en discutirlo, la verdad es que este puesto ya no me sorprende ni me indigna.

    People keep saying nobody argues about this rank anymore, but that silence is exactly why it stays overrated year after year.

    para mi sigue siendo el que mejor cuenta una historia de toda la saga, la ciudad respira de otra manera, aunque la conducción al principio cuesta un poco...

    What holds up is the tone, Niko's story is still one of the more grounded things Rockstar ever wrote, but the actual missions are stiffer than people admit, lots of chase and shoot loops that repeat with a new coat of paint.

    If the missions repeat, isn't that also true of San Andreas though? I feel like Niko carries this one past its flaws.

    La conducción me costó muchísimo al principio, el peso de los coches es raro comparado con lo que vino antes, y aunque la historia me atrapó nunca terminé de sentirme cómodo jugándolo...

    Everyone praises the story, fair enough, but the missions themselves get repetitive fast and that drags the whole experience down.

    You played it with your cousin all summer, did the repetitive missions bother either of you back then or only now looking back?

    Compared to San Andreas it feels smaller in scope but tighter in tone, I've put maybe 60 hours total across both playthroughs and IV sticks with me more.

    Yo también le tengo cariño pero lo de solo 60 horas para juzgar el tono me parece un poco corto, sin ánimo de ofender.

    Llevo tiempo mirando estos duelos y lo que más me llama la atención es que gana la mitad de las veces más o menos, ni domina ni se hunde, así que supongo que el puesto actual refleja bastante bien lo que la gente siente por él, ni una obra maestra intocable ni un juego olvidado, simplemente ahí en medio.

    The city in this one does feel quieter than later entries, though Niko carries scenes those games never quite matched

    I played it right when it came out, alone in my room after school, and I just remember calling everyone I knew on my in game phone constantly.

    I remember being obsessed with Niko's story for months, and now I go back and the moving feels so stiff compared to what came after.

    Face à San Andreas il perd en folie mais gagne en écriture, et franchement cette écriture pèse encore lourd, tu trouves pas que ça compte plus qu'on le dit?

    a mi me paso algo parecido, mi hermano y yo turnándonos también, y esa historia se te queda pegada mucho después de apagar la consola
