I keep flip flopping on where this belongs because the traversal genuinely earns its praise, ability gating done right, but then the actual exploration layer feels thinner than the games it keeps getting compared to, like the map wants to be big but the world doesn't quite back it up.
Cosmo_Runolfsdottir
The soundtrack alone should bump it up fifty places, no argument needed!!
TurboPhoenix2006
Magnifique, oui, enfin surtout facile à regarder, moins facile à retenir une fois fini.
AllenPhoenix
I had almost the same reaction after finishing it, pretty stuck with me less than I expected.
RogueLegend2
Metroid did it first, Ori just added tears.
LuckyMaster
Lo jugue llorando, lagrimas de verdad.
ReggieLegend
If Metroid did it first, why does replaying both back to back still favor this one for feel?
NeonWarden
Tears aside, the debate keeps circling the same duel over and over, and the ELO barely moves either way.
ComboNinja2
And then my controller battery died right at the escape sequence. Never forgave that timing.
RetroBard72
Truly the game's finest emotional beat, a dead battery... poetic timing honestly

Silent_Hintz
Went through the same emotional beats on my own playthrough, but the checkpoint placement in the later areas kept breaking my momentum in a way the earlier sections never did.
IronHunter82
Every duel it wins reminds me why I still keep this game installed years later, no regrets whatsoever.
Ghost_Archuleta
CritRunner70
Nuance a medias, che
Eloisa_40
It's pretty. That's the whole argument people make and it's getting old.
NeonSniper
Borrowed my roommate's copy for a weekend and ended up buying my own before returning it.
FrameKid2

Iron_Shields
Is it actually a metroidvania or just a linear platformer with a map screen slapped on?
tiara_schowalter
It's not really linear, there's backtracking and ability gates, but calling it a full metroidvania feels generous too.
barton_alaina
Linear with a map screen slapped on, sure, but the ability gating still forces real backtracking.
MertieHunter
Replayed it last year, the traversal still feels tighter than most recent releases.
AbdullahKnight
Honestly at this point I just vote for it every duel and move on.
VinylOwl
Tighter than most recent releases is a stretch when Hollow Knight exists...
Cortez_1998
People keep bringing up traversal like it settles the ranking debate, when half these duels are decided by nostalgia for the other side.
GlitchByte51
The movement is genuinely some of the best in the genre, though the story leans a bit thin.
GlitchSniper98
QuestRex5
Why does this game keep getting ranked below stuff it clearly outpaces in atmosphere alone
Gaudin1990
