    not sure why this remake gets grouped with brand new games in these duels, it's still the same design underneath. the frame rate bump is nice, the extra polish is nice, but the puzzles and pacing are exactly what they were, and that's fine, just don't pretend it's a new experience every time someone brings it up here.

    The bigger question is why these duels keep pairing remakes with originals at all, that's a classement issue, not a game one.

    Every time this comes up against Detroit: Become Human I end up thinking about how differently they treat player choice, one gives you a whole branching story and the other barely gives you a dialogue option, and yet somehow the remake still wins me over more often than not, probably because the dungeons just have that structure the other one doesn't even attempt, though I get why people prefer the cinematic side of things too.

    Le rythme qui traîne, c'est surtout vrai dans les phases de recherche d'objets, le reste passe encore bien aujourd'hui.

    Played this whole thing sitting next to my brother, him giving directions from the couch while I held the 3DS. Good memory even if he never touched it once.

    Against Hades it just feels slower, and against Portal 2 it feels looser, structurally speaking.

    Same thing happened to me, borrowed it for a summer trip and ended up replaying half of it on a couch that wasn't mine.

    On refait ce débat à chaque duel, remake ou pas remake, et le classement ne bouge jamais vraiment. Je vote quand même par habitude, sans grande conviction.

    Yo también voto por costumbre en estos duelos, pero contra Hades se nota la diferencia de ritmo, uno es inmediato y el otro te deja respirar entre puzzles.

    La versión 3D es cómoda de jugar hoy, y eso ya vale bastante para un remake de esta edad.

    Entiendo el cariño que genera, y la versión 3D corrige bastante en cuanto a comodidad visual, pero también entiendo a quien lo compara con juegos actuales y siente que la estructura general se ha quedado atrás en varios aspectos, sobre todo el ritmo entre puzzles.

    Le passage à 30 FPS s'entend surtout dans les zones ouvertes (le reste garde de vieux réflexes de caméra).

    I get the appeal but the streamlined UI doesn't fix the actual issue, I replayed it on a rainy weekend last year with nothing else to do and still felt the same slowdowns in pacing that people always mention.
