the boss fight with the sniper alone deserves a higher spot than this honestly, one of the best in any game i've played

    RogueNinja62

  2. NovaWolf1994

Is it really aging as well as people claim here?

    BossNinja1986

Does it really hold up against something like Far Cry 4 in pure pacing terms?

  3. Save_Gerlach

Compare it to Half-Life 2 Episode Two and honestly there's no contest for me, one is a tight narrative experience and the other drags in places, I know I'm biased since this series is basically why I got into gaming but I stand by it

  4. ArcadeWarden2

Man, some evenings I just stare at this ranking and remember being a kid who thought it was untouchable.

    IronPlayer

Same thing happened with my group growing up, everyone treated it like gospel and I never quite got why myself

  5. Audrey_55

Never finished it in one sitting but every session I put in convinced me a bit more why it's still talked about

  6. TurboSamurai2007

Only played it for a weekend at a friend's place, the survival stuff felt more tedious than tense to me honestly

    prohaska_geraldine

Weekend or not, calling it tedious ignores how much tension that survival layer actually adds

gonna be the guy who says it, ranked 321st and honestly some of that is deserved, the camo system is genius but the inventory menu fumbling gets old fast when u just wanna eat a snake and move on lol

    QuestDragon2005

Fair point on the mise en scène, though the boss fight itself still holds up for me

    LuckyNinja2000

Genius camo, clunky menu, still beats most shooters people rank higher

  8. Bayer15

Never got past the camo mechanics honestly, spent more time managing that than actually enjoying the stealth parts I came for

    LuckyRider

  9. Audreanne_1999

the multiplayer used to actually matter for its ranking, now everyone just remembers the campaign and votes on that alone, it changes how it compares to shooters that still have people playing online today

    HaileyKnight

the multiplayer debate again, some things never change on this site

    LootPlayer95

    Replying to HaileyKnight

oh right, the multiplayer debate, truly a topic nobody has ever recycled before

    LootSamurai87

MGO deserved its own respect, that's the part nobody brings up when they only talk campaign now

  10. Faivre4

    LootNinja25

Weird seeing it called stable, I remember checking its rank obsessively for weeks back then

    GhostWolf

didn't you two ever get tired of retelling the same childhood memory instead of judging the game on its own?

    AbdullahKnight

same story every time, dying together, memorizing lines together, and none of it moves the needle on where this sits now

  12. GlitchOwl95

    SammieDragon

I get the content gap complaint but the camo work alone took me way longer than any GTA sidequest
